Nursing Success

Trainee nurse Eleanore Frazenburg of Aberdeen was honoured recently at a ceremony in Cape Town. Frazenburg (28) matriculated at Aberdeen Secondary School in 2001, and her introduction to nursing came when she completed the Home Based Carers course five years ago. This sparked her interest, and she spent a year in Oudtshoorn training as a nursing assistant.

Two years ago she moved to Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town to study further, and she is currently working on an orthopaedic ward.

At the ceremony on Sepember 21st Frazenburg received a certificate for “Excellent  nursing performance in the ward” – the only nurse from her ward to receive an award. Her mother Yvonne is justifiably very proud of her daughter’s achievement, and appreciates all the hard work that led up to her daughter’s success.
