Tuinroete Agri Group Sponsers Aberdeen Secondary School Learner

At the Aberdeen Secondary School today 24th June, Mr Theunis Holtzhausen of Tuinroete Agri Aberdeen presented a cheque to the Principal of Aberdeen Secondary School, Mr Kerneels Kamfer.
The Tuinroete Agri Group is taking the decision to sponsor 10 financially disadvantaged learners in Grade 10 in schools in their trading regions. The Group boasts 19 branch outlets situated from Riversdale in the Western Cape to Jeffreys Bay and Joubertina in the Eastern Cape and from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to Aberdeen in the Eastern Cape. The Company’s priority with this sponsorship is the education and the release of financial burden to the learner. There will be vacation and future long term employment possibilities.
The Principal, assisted by his teaching staff, will make a decision on the most deserving and financially disadvantaged learner. This learner will be chosen according to school work related performance, dedication to work ethics and an all round promising performance. The sponsorship to a Grade 10 learner will assist in financially covering all the learner’s school criteria, and Tuinroete Agri will in the next two years consider the extension of the bursary to Grade 11 and Grade 12.
Each local Tuinroete Agri Branch sponsoring a learner will receive regular reports on the local learner’s progress from their respective schools, and sporting progress will also be encouraged.
Mr Kamfer expressed his gratitude to Mr Holtzhausen and the Tuinroete Agri Group for their sponsorship on behalf of the Aberdeen Secondary School.
Mr Holthausen will be advised of the chosen pupil’s name on 21st July 2009 when school classes resume.
